Class Descriptions

My teaching is a fusion of traditional yoga poses with more contemporary movement sequences, aiming to always maintain good alignment and keep a focused mind. No two classes are the same – online or in-person – but will always include:

  • breath control exercises (pranayama)
  • warm-up stretches
  • poses (asanas) for flexibility/balance/strength
  • warm-down stretches
  • mindful relaxation (savasana), meditation or yogic sleep (yoga nidra)

Mellow Flow Group Class (60-75 minutes): mixed-ability flow classes suitable for improver-intermediate level and some beginners

Dynamic Flow Group Class (75 minutes): a more challenging class suiting those with previous yoga experience and a regular practice 

Yoga Lunch Club (2.5 hours)
June theme: “English Summer”. A delicious treat for body and soul celebrating the beautiful Kent countryside and its produce! A friendly gathering with a joyful mix of yoga/meditation, cooking demo, lunch and recipes to keep. In collaboration with Sevenoaks chef Pip from The Cooking Apple whose delights will include homemade tea and nibbles and a seasonal, summery vegetarian lunch with cake to finish!
Suitable all levels (previous yoga experience not essential). Vegan lunch on request. BOOK HERE
 
Yoga & Wild Swim Morning (2 hours)
After a 60-minute outdoor flow yoga class, wash away your worries and enjoy the many health benefits cold water immersion offers our minds and bodies with a dip in the river, followed by a warming chai tea, energy bites and relaxation. The Darent River is a groundwater-fed chalk stream: enjoy exclusive private access to an unusually deep part which makes a beautiful and safe wild swimming spot. BOOK HERE

Menopause Yoga Workshops (3 hours)
Bespoke workshops aimed to sooth specific symptoms of peri to post-menopause, plus provide a wealth of practical information and emotional support to reassure midlife women that they are not alone on this journey. Can be adapted as a private or online workshop upon request. Suitable all levels (previous yoga experience not essential).
These 3-hour yoga and wellbeing mornings are designed as a portal for women to move, learn, reflect, relax, connect and empower their own individual menopause experience. So often a lack of information and support lead to feelings of confusion, loneliness and frustration, combined with physical discomfort or ill-health. A safe space for a small group of midlife women to enjoy specific breathing practices, therapeutic yoga, restorative meditation, a women’s circle to share or simply listen, practical and holistic advice and resources – plus tea and homemade raw chocolate!
 
Rebalance Your Midlife Health Day Retreat (7 hours) with The Health Boost Sevenoaks 
Escape your busy life for a day to socialise with other like-minded women and listen to nutrition, fitness and wellbeing experts. Includes nutrition workshop on the importance of diet and lifestyle interventions to manage your midlife body, exercise workshop to help symptoms and life post-menopause, delicious vegetarian lunch, Q&A on midlife journeys and unwind with a yoga and meditation session (by Yoga By Lucy). Arise for Ukraine: Outdoor Sunrise Yoga (1 hour)

Suitable all levels. Age 13 years+ welcome. Register your interest for future events

Hip & Groovy (75 minutes) If you’re interested for me to repeat this class, let me know!
A hip-focused yoga class set to an upbeat playlist. The pelvis is a complex unit of muscles, bones, tendons, fascia and ligaments connecting upper and lower extremities. Our mind often tucks away emotions or stress in the confines of our hips. “There is a deep beauty in simply letting go”.
Level: improver-intermediate.

Private and semi-private: bespoke classes to suit all requirements (private home studio)
  • beginners can learn the basics of yoga, breath work and mindfulness
  • regular yogis can explore more challenging poses or work to another level
  • work with physical limitations, injury or health conditions (including Long Covid) by adapting with specific poses and sequences
  • tune into your body and take it progressively to new levels of fitness
  • compliment, balance and improve your existing sport or exercise regime (includes targeted yoga for athletes, runners, cyclists, golfers, etc…)
  • for those with busy lives or who prefer a quieter environment
